Touring Artists
One of the things I have noticed about artists, the bands and crew who tour nationally is that almost invariably they are very nice people. I don't have intimate contact with every touring act I get to work with, but the ones I do always have something nice to say
This is especially true about the ones who may have seen bigger days, who might have the most reason to gripe about the long rides, the relatively small crowds upon occasion and the paychecks that are not nearly as big as they were when the artist was on top.
It's amazing that performers who may have just stepped off of a tour bus after 18 hrs of non- stop riding would find it in their heart to offer words of encouragement to someone they will likely never see again.

Here's a partial list of national artists I've been lucky enough to have performed with, either opening for, or in some cases, onstage with the artists. These gigs have been in various clubs, fairs festivals, and rodeos over the course of my career. They are in alphabetical order, and, I know I've missed a few...
I've either opened or performed with these artists in a variety of venues. Some, usually the country ones, I've opened for in conjunction with large rodeos and fairs. Others, usually the 50's and 60's acts, have been in clubs. I've found that usually these folk have been very kind, offering complements and nice things to say
