Five Star Rodeo, Inc. was formed in 1986 when brothers Troy, Dan and Wayne Weekley, along with their lifelong friend, Donald Parrish purchased Flying G Rodeo from Eric Goolsby of Okeechobee, Florida. They. maintained an 850 acre ranch in Davie, Florida which is home to more than 100 steers, 60 bucking bulls and 125 bucking horses. In addition to purchasing fine quality animals, they breed bucking stock in the "born to buck" program, and routinely supply animals to the PRCA's National Finals Rodeo, the NFR, as well as other high profile rodeos and PBRs. One of Five Stars animal athletes, "Skoal's Elk Mountain" #46," has been chosen an unbelievable 9 times for the NFR, with 3 world titles changing hands on this broncs back!
When the time came to pass along the Five Star operation, only one choice for the new owners made sense to the Weekley brothers. The team of Marty Johns and Paul Bowers Jr. had been putting on quality rodeos in the area for several years: in fact, Marty had produced the PCA 'New Rodeo of the Year' just months before Five Star became available. The team of Bowers and Johns became the owners of Five Star.
Five Star Rodeo strictly enforces the rules set by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association regarding the protection and care of these valuable four legged athletes. The bucking stock, in addition to being valued for the value they bring to Five Star, are considered part of the Five Star family.
In addition to the quality of livestock, Five Star Rodeo believes a fast paced show with up to date production is essential to a great rodeo experience. Every show features the best in rodeo contract acts, entertainers, bull fighters, and music and sound to add to that 'in your face' entertainment experience, and let you enjoy...
"Rodeo, Five Star Style!"
